Our story
It started with a teenager and a doughnut.
Hey there! I'm Morgan, the person behind Bistro Morgan. Bistro Morgan started with a simple idea: create pastries that are fun, memorable and genuinely delicious.
I started selling doughnuts as a teenager. What began as a love for baking has grown into a space built on creativity, quality and a team that puts care into everything we make.
In 2018 I took Bistro Morgan to Shark Tank Australia and asked for $200,000 for 20% of the business. Janine, Andrew and Naomi all came back with counter-offers for more equity. I turned them down, but I did accept their mentorship.
Since August 2024 our doughnuts, cookies, cinnamon scrolls and muffins have been on the shelves at Coles Express and Reddy Express stores across Melbourne. Today the Bistro Morgan range is stocked at 130 stores across Victoria, and our muffins and banana bread reach Reddy Express stores nationwide.
On Sunday, March 29, 2026, we closed the chapter on our Windsor store. It was my first ever venue, and I'm genuinely proud of what we built there. My next chapter is Arla in Windsor: Nordic-inspired, simple, produce-driven, somewhere you can drop in and feel good about it.
